Crater on the Moon, named Copernicus located in the eastern part of Oceanus Procellarum. The crater is visible through binoculars just to the northwest of the center of the Moon's visible hemisphere. The name of the crater, was given by the Italian Jesuit Giovanni Riccioli.
Notice: The text on the stamp is not correct. The photograph is not made by Lunar Orbiter 11, but by Lunar Orbiter II (two).
